Like any product, quality is based upon individual components. Our soaps are made using the finest natural ingredients. We make sure that each bar is carefully prepared and packaged with tender loving care. Most commercial soaps are produced as inexpensively as possible and many times the result is a significant reduction in quality.
Any true soap utilizes lye in the production process. Most commercial soap companies remove the glycerin (which is generated during the process) along with other beneficial components before making their soap into bars. Our soaps all feature top quality carrier oils, essential and/or fragrance oils, and the moisturizing glycerin that results from the whole process. The end result is a product that is far superior to most mass-produced so-called soaps typically found in stores.
During the process that ultimately results in our high quality soaps, the lye is converted into a mineral salt and that is what we list on our labels. Bottom line is that following the soapmaking process, none of the original lye is left in the final product.
